Abstract

Cyber Physical Systems (CPSs) is an outcome of modern developments accomplished in the wireless communication. CPS is extensively utilized in different fields as the integration of physical and computing system. However, the deployed sensors of the CPS was affected because of the restricted processing and energy capacities. Therefore, an energy efficient cluster based routing approach needs to be designed to minimize the energy consumption of the nodes. In this research, the Multi Objective - Energy Centric Reptile Search Algorithm (MO-ECRSA) is proposed to improve the data delivery of the CPS. This MO-ECRSA is developed to select an optimal Cluster Head (CH) and route. Therefore, the proposed MOECRSA method is used to minimize the energy consumption of the sensors while increasing the data delivery of the CPS. The performances of the MO-ECRSA is analyzed in terms of alive nodes, Average Energy Consumption (AEC), Packet Delivery Ratio (PDR) and Average End to End Delay (AEED). The existing researches namely Rendezvous Routing Protocol (RRP) and Hybrid Crow Search Algorithm (HCSA) are used to evaluate the MO-ECRSA method. The PDR of the MO-ECRSA for 100 nodes is 99.75%, it is high when compared to the RRP and HCSA.
